Friends, Promoters & Venues: NAZARETH, I was there FROM THE BEGINNING and was the
guiding light that wrote the original material and recorded the demos of our
early songs that landed management and ultimately our major record deals
leading to smash hits like “Hair of the Dog”, “Razamanaz”, “Expect No Mercy”
and “Love Hurts”, and the rest is history. I wrote, produced and
defined the NAZARETH
sound that was so successful in the 70’s. As a matter of fact, of the 5 albums
I produced in the 70’s, all achieved Gold or Platinum status in various countries
throughout the world. Deep Purple’s Roger Glover, one of our earlier mentors,
identified me as “THE SOUL OF NAZARETH. In the years since, former members have
continued to milk the heritage of Nazareth’s
considerable success and have been on a slow, long decline into relative
obscurity. My contributions on the 20 albums left them with a legacy and a
music catalog that keeps them touring and is still the basis of their current
